We were in Utah, wanting to purchase a home in Reno, and a family friend referred us to Dan Smith. I contacted him, and he called back quickly, to find out what our parameters were. He was very personable, and easy to discuss our options with. He went to work looking for suitable choices for us. Then we were able to come down to Reno for one day, and he spent the day driving us around to various homes, and telling us a lot of helpful information about the area, as we were not familiar with Reno at all. We submitted an offer, and went back to Utah. We weren't able to come back for the various inspections, but Dan was present for everything that needed someone present, and even went and checked on things a couple of other times, because he wanted to make sure everything was good. He even crawled under our house to see if everything was okay! Everything went smoothly with doing the paperwork long distance, and I felt like everything was understood well. The seller of the home was very difficult to communicate with, and I felt like Dan had to put in a lot of time to work with them, but he did a great job with that as well. He also was great at staying in touch, and even made great efforts to try and resolve an issue we had 6 months after we purchased our home. I always recommend Dan when I know anyone looking for a trustworthy, hard-working realtor.

Dan was very helpful with working with us to find the right neighborhood that meet our wants. He made is feel apart of the team. He was flexible in his schedule to meet us to show houses and if he was unable to meet us he arranged for another agent to show us the house. He really wants to give you the house you are looking for and I really appreciated that in him. He was with us every step of the house buying process, from listings to negotiating with the seller to signing the title. Which as great for us being first time home buyers. We have a home in a wonderful neighborhood because of the great work that Dan has done for us. We are very grateful for his talent and experience.

Daniel Smith is a very professional and helpful agent. The government shutdown put us through a very difficulty time trying to purchase a home. During the government shutdown, he kept up with the news, and he worked with his partners to make sure we get the best deals. I`ve worked with many realtors over the years but Dan Smith is number one. Dan went several extra miles. When Dan saw a door handle that didn't work, he showed up the next day with a new one and installed it, for free. And that was only the beginning, something like that happened several times. Dan was a great realtor for us and helped us sell and buy a home. He was able to provide detailed reasoning on what we he thought we should sell our house for and what we he thought we should offer on the house we were going to buy. Dan was in constant communication with us on both transactions. He was finishing up his master's degree, helping raise his family, and working with other clients, but he still made us feel as if we were his only client.

We had to sell our house in a hurry, as we got a job offer out of state. This was the first time we’d ever sold a house and we were kind of worried about the process as it pertained to our timeline. Dan assured us that the house will sell fast, and it did (we had an offer within 2 weeks of listing). We first met Dan in 2017 when he was the Realtor representing my Mother and an out of state partner on the sale of property. The challenges included working with older owners who did not deal with computers and obtaining signatures from owners living in Colorado. Dan was very professional in dealing with these obstacles. This property listed in June 2017 and sold July 2017. In February of 2018 Dan made an offer on our behalf on our new home. Dan was quick to respond and resolve all issues that arose and we closed in March 2018. We have found Dan to be extremely professional and honest in all our dealings and highly recommend him for all real estate transactions.

Hands down, the BEST experience we have had in selling a home. Dan is amazing to work with. He is ways on time, and if he was running behind (which was rare) he would always give a courtesy call/text. His work ethic and attention to detail is flawless. He was always one step ahead of the game and kept us informed throughout the entire process.
